The top 3
Oregon held steady at No. 1 for a third week after a 38-17 win at Michigan.
The Ducks are the fourth team to hold the AP No. 1 spot this season, and the first non-SEC No. 1 (previously Texas, Georgia, and Alabama).
Oregon earned 1550 poll points and all 62 first-place votes — the season’s first unanimous AP No. 1.
Georgia held steady at No. 2 after a 34-20 SEC win over Florida.
Ohio State is up one spot to No. 3 after winning 20-13 at Penn State — the Nittany Lions lost their three-week hold on the third spot and slid to No. 6 after the Big Ten loss to visiting Ohio State.
ACC adds fifth spot
The ACC added its fifth AP-ranked team this week, led by No. 4 Miami — up one spot after blasting Duke 53-31.
Also Ranked for the ACC are No. 13 SMU, No. 19 Clemson, No. 23 Pitt, and No. 25 Louisville.
B1G hold four spots
Oregon is the fourth team to hold AP No. 1 this season — the season’s first unanimous AP No. 1 and first non-SEC No. 1 (previously Texas, Georgia, and Alabama).
The Big Ten slipped to four ranked teams as Illinois dropped from the Top 25. B1G teams ranked behind No. 1 Oregon include No. 3 Ohio State, No. 6 Penn State, and No. 8 Indiana.
Penn State fell three spots to No. 6 and Ohio State climbed to No. 3 after the visiting Buckeyes edged the Nittany Lions 20-13.
Big 12 keeps four spots
The Big 12 held steady with four AP-ranked teams — No. 9 BYU, No. 17 Iowa State (down six after losing 22-23 to visiting Texas Tech), No. 21 Colorado, and No. 22 Kansas State (down five after losing 19-24 at Houston).
SEC holds eight spots
The SEC held steady with eight teams in this week’s rankings as Vanderbilt returned to replace Missouri in the Top 25.
Beyond No. 2 Georgia, the SEC is represented by No. 5 Texas, No. 7 Tennessee, No. 11 Alabama (up three on its bye week), No. 14 LSU (up two on its bye), No. 15 Texas A&M (down five after losing 20-44 at South Carolina), No. 16 Ole Miss, and No. 24 Vanderbilt.

Notable unranked 2024 opponents for Oregon include 2023 Pac-12 champion Washington (four votes).
Oregon’s Week 11 opponent Maryland, is unranked so far this season.
